We have put the following together to help us all on your wedding day, these are ideal time frames that we believe you should consider when planning your day.  Timings are very important to us so we have the time to capture your day.

Some of these times may seem long on paper but keep in mind that:

  1. the day will fly by

  2. most weddings run slightly behind schedule

  3. we’ll make these photo sessions fun, so it won’t seem like a long time.

Ideal Time Allotment – 30 minutes

Ideal Time of the Day – Morning

Ideal Location – Bridal Hotel Room / Villa

Advice – Having at least 30 minutes for details ensures that we have plenty of time to get that perfect photo of the dress, rings, shoes, bouquets, and the other details of the day.

There are times when a hotel room is too crowded or simply unappealing; we have to take the dress all the way down to the lobby or even outside. This can take some time, but as you can see from the results, it’s well worth the additional work.

Ideal Time Allotment – 90 minutes

Ideal Time of the Day – Morning or Early Afternoon

Ideal Location – Bridal / Groom Hotel Room / Villa

Advice – Having an 90 mins of preparation is ideal for our style. During this time, we are getting close ups of the makeup and hair being applied as well as the candid moments and the bridesmaids and groomsmen getting ready for the day.

Keep in mind that these are some of the most emotional and fun times of the day, so you don’t want to cut it short.

Please note that we do require a tidy, clutter free room to get the best possible results. We would advise if you are staying in a hotel to ask for your room to be cleaned in the morning before we arrive.  Also make sure no rubbish, drinks cans, crisp packets, dirty clothes etc are laying around.  Make sure the balcony area is clean as possible.

Ideal Time Allotment – 30 minutes

Ideal Time of the Day – Morning or Early Afternoon

Ideal Location – Bridal Room, Grooms Room, Hotel Suite, Venue Lobby, Venue Garden or Villa

Advice – Right after prep is the best time for individual portraits of the bride and groom (separately). Besides makeup and hair being completely fresh, the day hasn’t gotten hectic yet so we can take our time and get those perfect portraits.

Also, keep in mind that the window lighting in most hotel rooms creates a unique look that can’t be duplicated in any environment throughout the rest of the day.

Ideal Time Allotment – 25-30 minutes

Ideal Time of the Day – After Ceremony

Ideal Location – Venue Garden, Empty Venue Hallway (shaded areas with natural light)

Advice – The first look should be around 25-30 minutes. During this time, the bride and groom enjoy spending time with each other for the first time on the wedding day. Time is spent on a few basic portraits of the bride and groom.

Ideally we are saving the bulk of the couples session for later (see the “couples session” section below). However, if there is no other time in the day, it is best to allocate another 25 to 30 mins here so that we make sure we have enough photos of just you two.

Bride - Please make sure you have your flowers and make sure your hair is free from any confetti.

Groom - Please make sure you are dressed fully, shirt tucked in if meant to be, tie / bow tie straight and no phone, wallet, keys or bulky items in your pockets.

IMPORTANT - You need to understand that it will likely to be very hot at this time we will do everything we can to speed the process up but please work with us to achieve the WOW end product, remember we will only get one chance to capture your special day at this time. Top Tip:  Drink plenty of water!
